I moved from New Jersey to San Francisco on February 24, 2016. When I moved, my mom asked me to take a picture each day and send it to her. 

I've tried to do a "picture a day" before and I've generally lasted 2-3 weeks before, like a true millennial, getting bored and bailing. I had low hopes for this round. 

But, there is something about taking a picture for someone else, showing someone else my new city, that's hooked me. 

I've gotten to share all of the little details that you notice at first, then less and less over time. And because of that, I've kept noticing the little things: the light, the colors, the symmetries.
