Save the date

Shortly after my friends Kai & Colin got engaged in Big Sur in March of 2015, they asked me to kick off their wedding plans by designing their Save the Date card. 

Kai, the bride, grew up in Portland, Maine. Both of us sharing a love and nostalgia for New England summers, we couldn't get the idea of cornflower-blue hydrangeas out of our heads. It ended up serving as the inspiration for this card, and for the floral arrangements on The Big Day.
